Loved reading Sidney's story with my three year old daughter. she has been afraid of seagulls but really warmed to Sid's character. the story has a lovely message, wonderful flowing rhyme and beautiful illustrations. Archie & James love having bedtime stories read to them and Flo is a definite favourite! They compare her to the Betta fish we have in our fish tank and my 3 year old was looking to see if it "flew" like Flo! He got up this morning and said "Did Flowers (that's what we call our Betta) fly like Florence overnight?" It was so lovely thinking about all the adventures Flowers had overnight!!!!! I can't think that they have compared any other book to "real life" it was so lovely. We can't wait to read all about Sidney! I've just sat and read this book I bought from Gull & Buoy tonight for my daughter for Christmas, wow Emma Pickles is incredibly talented and the story had a very valuable lesson for children to be kind.
